FHI Hackathon

Together with the BBDC we are organizing a 48 hours "Analytics Hackathon" at the Fritz Haber Institut (FHI) in Berlin. We want to produce tools to perform Big data analytics on the data we have in the NOMAD Archive. There will be obviously Material science oriented projects, but be also visualization and infrastructure projects.

To apply send an email with CV toziletti@fhi-berlin.mpg.debefore January 15th, 2017

Some flink oriented projects could be:

  • Try to expose sql querying of Apache Flink
  • Experiment with Apache Parquet storage, for our data, and then leverage it in queries
  • Improve the way we expose Apache Flink to the user (Zeppelin?)
  • Optimize our use of Apache Flink
